Rental Regulations

  1. To rent a pedal-assisted bicycle, the user must present themselves at a BIKEandGO pick-up point. The rental is reserved for adults.
  2. The customer has independently chosen the model and type of vehicle, has tried out the bike and verified its functionality and integrity, and certifies the proper functioning of all parts. Any modification to the vehicle can only be made by authorized BikeandGo personnel, except for the height adjustment of the saddle, for which the customer is responsible.
  3. The use of the bicycle assumes the physical fitness and technical expertise of the person intending to ride it. Therefore, by renting it, the user declares to be equipped with adequate capability and appropriate competence, without any reservations.
  4. The bicycle is to be used exclusively as a means of transport and is to be treated with attention, common sense, and diligence. Its use for commercial purposes or transfer to other individuals is prohibited.
  5. The user is responsible for the bike until its return to the operator and is also liable for damages to themselves, the bicycle, third parties, and objects during the use of the bike. No form of compensation can be requested from the operator.
  6. During the rental, the user does not benefit from any insurance nor is the vehicle covered by liability insurance. The user is obliged to respect the rules of the road.
  7. The operator can conduct checks on users during the use of the bicycles and can request their return if conditions of improper use are detected. The operator declines all forms of liability in case of improper use of the vehicle. The operator may refuse rental to individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs (according to articles 186-187 of the Road Code) and for other reasons at the operator's indisputable discretion.
  8. The customer is obliged to compensate BikeandGo for any damage caused to the bike or parts of it, including punctures estimated at €8.00 (eight euros), and for any accessories provided.
  9. The bicycle must be returned, respecting the communicated hours, to the same place where it was rented. The bicycle is considered returned only if it is handed over to the operator; parking the bicycle outside the rental point during closing hours is not considered as returning. The failure to return the bicycle without prior communication or not justified by exceptional circumstances will be considered as a theft offense and thus reported to the Judicial Authority.
  10. The user must pay the corresponding payment from the start of the rental until the presentation for the conclusion of the rental contract, in addition to any charges for damages, total or partial thefts.
  11. In case of theft of the bike, the user must present the operator with a copy of the report made to the competent authorities and pay an amount equal to the value of the stolen bicycle, which will be refunded in case of finding or recovery of the vehicle, net of necessary repairs.
  12. For anything not mentioned in this regulation, the relationship between the parties is regulated by the civil code.
  13. For any dispute arising between the parties, the competent court is that of Treviso.
